Group Therapy and Workshops

Dr. Dindo has developed a 1-day group therapy workshop based on ACT. These workshops are usually held on a Saturday and last from 9 am to 3 pm and include 6-8 individuals who would like to learn skills to better manage the stressors of daily living and reduce depression and anxiety. Some of these workshops are specifically designed for veterans.

The overall goal in these workshops is to help people increase their resilience. This involves:

  • clarifying what matters most
  • changing behaviors that may not be working
  • staying on the chosen and valued path even when it’s hard
  • developing greater awareness and compassion towards themselves and others
  • letting go of unhelpful stories and thoughts that may be powerful blocks to moving forward
  • practicing acceptance.

In the workshop, we work compassionately and respectfully with emotional and sometimes intense experiences, and yet we try to keep our workshops light and playful. Laughter can sometimes be the best medicine; it provides moments of relief and reminds us not to take ourselves and our problems so seriously that our joy and vitality are constrained.

Individual and Couples Therapy and Counseling

Building a trusting and strong therapeutic relationship is central to the work of psychotherapy. I am committed to creating the trust and space in therapy that allows people to face their challenges, to learn more effective ways to approach difficulties, and to choose to live their lives with courage and meaning.
